WE’RE HERE TO HELP
Alexa Stallings
MMFT
I am Alexa Stallings, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#2435) in Nashville, Tennessee. I am currently seeking full licensure under the supervision of Dominique Braden (#1450).
Originally from the greater Nashville area, I earned a degree in English (& Music minor) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After working in music publishing as an A&R Assistant, I transitioned into the mental health field, first as a Neurofeedback Technician and later as Assistant Clinical Director at Tennessee Neurofeedback. I ultimately obtained a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University.
My mission is to help clients cultivate personal growth, healthy connection, and renewed hope in their mental health and relationships. I ground my work in the therapeutic relationship, evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care in order to provide personalized support to each individual. I strive to guide clients through identifying and transforming unwanted thought patterns, shaming self-talk and maladaptive behaviors. We work together to strengthen the quality of their attachments within their support system and explore the complexity of both hurting and healing.
I truly love being a counselor. I feel immense gratitude to have a job I not only enjoy, but that also allows me to engage in such meaningful work. Sitting with clients in their struggles feels sacred, and celebrating with them in their victories is so much fun. Being invited into the stories that shape who we are and into the intimate relationships within a family is both a privilege and a responsibility I do not take lightly.
